ACROBAT has been appointed to Wilmslow High School
We have been asked to research, write, design and present a bid document for the East Cheshire Consortium. Its purpose to seek funding on a new Diploma for Sport and Active Leisure.
The
tone had to emphasise 'World Class' and any resultant facility would supplement Wilmslow High School's already impressive campus - as it is a designated Sports College.
The SkillsActive Sector Agreement states that: there will be more vacancies and more need for suitably trained young people. The Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure is aiming to help fill the gap for 100,000 new jobs (needed by 2014); 86,000 more related to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games (which will also use the North West in training and preparation); and the same amount again needed each year to replace (transient and seasonal) leavers from the workforce.
The Director of Specialism (Sport) commented: "Many thanks for this. Impressive".
