Sports and leisure guru
George Torkildsen has referenced Adrian Stores’ publication, “Total Quality Management in Leisure” (written in conjunction with Pip Mosscrop) in the latest edition of “Leisure and Recreation Management”.
Torkildsen passed away at the age of 71. George was a former Chair of World Leisure and an Honorary Life Member of ILAM (now ISPAL) and ISRM.
Many still perceive his work as the main publication for the industry – practitioners and students. Our Director’s book was cited in the ‘Management principles and foundations’ chapter of the acclaimed guide.
